I’m thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new series of abacus tutorial videos, crafted specifically for parents who want to teach their children the abacus at home. Unlike my previous videos, these tutorials are designed to give parents the knowledge and confidence needed to effectively guide their children in learning the abacus.
Why This Change?
Through my 10-week summer teaching session with young kids, I’ve realized that mastering the abacus can be quite challenging for children on their own. Despite having access to tutorial videos, materials, and in-person tutoring, young learners often need direct, hands-on guidance from a parent or teacher to fully grasp the concepts.
What’s New in These Videos?
In this new series, I’ve incorporated a wealth of tips and advice based on my experiences and observations. Each video provides clear, step-by-step instructions to make teaching the abacus easier for parents. You’ll find practical guidance on everything from proper posture and hand positioning to understanding the fundamental concepts of the abacus.
Why Teach Abacus at Home?
Teaching your child the abacus at home offers numerous benefits. Not only does it help them develop strong math skills, but it also fosters a love for numbers and problem-solving. The abacus enhances concentration and cognitive abilities, making it a valuable addition to your child’s educational journey. Learning the abacus at home is also highly practical: it’s a convenient extracurricular activity that can be seamlessly integrated into your daily routine, saves time on commuting, allows for flexible scheduling, and is cost-effective. Most importantly, it plays a significant role in developing early math skills.
Not Sure Where to Start?
If you want your child to learn the abacus but aren’t sure where or how to begin, start here with our new tutorial series. These videos will guide you step-by-step, making it easier to get started and support your child’s learning journey.
What to Expect?
I’ve just started this exciting new series and have completed the introduction and Lesson 1.
